Looking for a bit of inspiration I am turning to a great pop science book by Albert-László Barabási, Linked. In the second chapter entitled “The Random Universe,” Barabási introduces us to the great mathematician Paul Erdős. Erdős, according to the author, quoted fellow mathematician and graph-theorist Alfréd Rényi as saying:

“A mathematician is a machine that turns coffee into theorems.”
